the main idea was that there was this one lady that was named Della who was owned by a 22 year old guy named James Dillingham della and her husband were very poor and they didnt get paid that much but they had really good and valubaly things to cell for example Della had her nice asnd long hair that she could sell or cut and then James had his gold watch that his father passed it to him Della only had one dollor and eighty seven cents and with that money she had to pay the butcher man and the vegetable man she wanted to give her husband the best present ever so she was willing to do enything to just get her James the best so she started to save mony so by the time chrismas gets here she would have the right amount of money the reason why she wanted somthing nice beacuse she thought that she wasent worth of James owning her so she went ot tha barber shop and she want to cut her hair hopeing that James would like her and the present even more =]
