Edward Poo is dead! How is he dead? Well there have been many stories here and there. We have to be more realistic, and look deeply into the givin evidence.
CHEE WILIKERS, the rabies! Dr.Benitez said that Mr.Poe starated showing symptoms of the rabies. He refused to drink alcohal and had trouble swallowing water, a typical sypmtom in a rabies case. He was having trouble remembering and was having hallusinations. When Poe was admitted to the hospital, he kept talking constantly about spectral and imagenary objects on the walls. In those days there wasn't a vacene for the rabies, so it could have been a possibility.
One Word; Alcohalism. Poe was known for his drinking problems. Poe was a famous lilerature writer, being known like that brings upon alot of stress. He was expected to write the best out of the best,reading his work over and over again, making sure it's good. His career was at stake. He eligity promised his family no more drinking, but c'mon now poe needed his time away from the stress and maybe drinking was it. He could have been sober when he was found. Also they might have not have tested him properly.
The last straw. In 20 years there had only been 33 cases of the rabies. Poe was a busy guy, he had no time to be playing with animals except his own. They tested his cat and he had to sign of the rabies. Poe also did not have any bite marks on his body. When you drink too much you effect this part of your brain called the hippocamous. This part of your brain stores most of your memory. This is the reason why he has problems remembering, and why he was having illusions. His body couldn't take the alcohal anymore and his body shut down on him before releasing energy. They didn't get a good picture of the CT's and the MRI's. If they had looked at them better, they could have found the cause and prevented his death.
