Klarissa Young---Final Exam

"Poe's Death is Rewritten as Case of Rabies, Not Telltale Alcohol" is one of the articles that i think is true about Edgar Allen Poe's death. The reason why I believe why i believe this article is true is because this article gives a lot of detail, such as quotes from witnesses who last seen him alive, dates of when he did something, or where he was, and his actions, and some doctors thought and ideas of what happened to him. It seemed like Poe's behavior was the case of the rabies because how wild he acted the last few days of his life. Although there weren't any evidence of an animal had bitten him, but about of fourth of rabies victims reportedly don't remember ever getting bitten. It takes about a year after the infection for the symptoms to appear.

"Poe's Final Days" is another article that i believe that can be related to Poe's death. This article has lots, and lots of detail for Edgar Allen Poe's last days. This article also has lots of quotes form victims, and also doctors thoughts and ideas of what could have happened to him. Some evidence for this article being true are, they say, when hes drunk he can be abusive and ungrateful. Also in the article it also said "The writer was so sensitive to the alcohol that a glasses of wine can make him sick for days." it was also reported that when he was younger he did have drinking problems. And lastly when your drunk you mostly don't know what you are doing or whats going on, and that exactly how he acted. I think he drunk so much because he was stresses out about something.

These two articles, to me, seem to have more information then the others that i have read. the article said "when you have rabies its hard to drink liquids" and in "Poe's Death is Rewritten as Case of Rabies" he refused to drink alcohol so he drank water with great difficulty. you see how these two articles balance each other out? These two articles are hard for me to choose from. But i think these two make more since then others.
