i think that it might be both. but the artical written by burton r. polin makes more sence because
if he had rabies they probably would have noticed it. So maby he dident stop drinking and had a little bit. which would explain the fact that even if he had a glass of wine he became violent
and sick for days.

But alot of evedence points to rabies. because he was pretty much crazy when he got to the hospital and was like that for days. Then the third day he felt better but could not remember getting sick. then the fourth day he was sick agian and then he died.

But if he was dieing of alcohol he whould refuse any alcohol that came his way whitch
would explain why he refused the alchohal the third day before he died.
